Are CGI Avatars the future of Pop Stars?

This new technology could be the answers to the music industries problematic Pop Stars.  No more worries about the Pop Star getting to old to sing/market, no worries about drugs and alcohol.  This could be the future of Pop Stars worldwide and of course Japan did it first.  Japan’s Crypton Future Media has unleashed upon the world what may be the future of pop music in the amazingly realistic, holographic singing idol Hatsune Miku.

Hatsune is a product of Japan’s popular Vocaloid software scene in which fans can create their own songs for fictional characters to sing. The twist here is that Crypton took things to the next level by making the character into a hologram and actually putting their avatar on tour, playing to huge enthusiastic audiences. The spectacle of a hologram performing on stage, with a live backing band in front of thousands of screaming fans is pure science fiction brought to real life. To really process exactly how amazing (and hauntingly creepy) the Hatsune Miku music tour is, take a look at the HD video below.

Mobile Music

Sure I have a smart phone.  A 5.0 megapixel camera built in.  No iPhone but I do have a very capable phone.  The one feature I never tapped into though was my Mp3 player and library on my phone.  I kind of don’t like my peanut butter all up in my chocolate.  Ha.  I notice that a lot of people still prefer to have a Zune, iPod or some other audio device for their music instead of their phone.  Just curious, How many people actually use the music capabilities of their phones?

I heard what Pink Floyd was watching on TV

DPS busts the myth about the ear orgasm.. I am not one for pricey, state-of-the-art audio equipment, but i will throw $30 at enhancing the quality of my experience of anything. I did not, however, expect the degree of upgrade this little app provides. I listen to itunes at work and whether its through earphones or the built in speakers on my mac, this app significantly increases the quality of sound. I’ve heard things on albums that I’ve been listening to for years that I’ve never heard before. in going through “The Wall” for the umpillionth time, i was frozen in my tracks at recognizing the sound of Jack Lemmon’s voice during the intro to “nobody home”. now, the different dialogues throughout the album are plain as day, but to be able to discern with unmistakable clarity what’s on tv in the background behind the screaming father’s voice followed by a little girl’s squeal of pain is an entirely different level. buy this plug-in… NOW
