The DPS Insider Forums

So we do a little bit of everything on the DPS Insider page.  We have a regular blog you can look forward to seeing updated many times a week.  We also have a great cast of people within the audio field listed on the front of the insider page.  We welcome all of you to say hey to all of us.  One of the greatest things we have for all audio related talk as well as tech questions for our DPS Plug In technology is our official DPS Forum.  Posts range from your favorite band (or DJ) to people just asking how to fix or use something.  No matter what it is all about audio and community.  Click the link above and say hello, ask a question and be yourself.

Welcoming DJ R.O.K to the DPS Insider team!

We would like to welcome “ROK” to our team at the DPS Insider!  R.O.K (Rhyme.Over.Krime) hails from Los Angles California and besides acting, performing and DJing, he is deeply involved with at-risk kids outreach programs in his community.  He uses the DPS Plug-In to blow up his set at the club and we look forward to working with him as we grow our relationship with the club music community.  Check out R.O.K by following the links below:

Bongiovi Acoustics DPS plugin for DJs!

Aural exciters and sound enhancement hardware is standard for most turntable/CD based DJ rigs.  But how about those of you who can blow up a party with a laptop, iTunes and your portable drive?  Just because you don’t haul around a crate of records anymore doesn’t mean you can’t have that bigger-than-life sound.  As audio engineers and fans of dance music, we at Bongiovi Acoustics have decided to try yet another experiment with the Digital Power Station technology!

Our plan is to bring our Carvin PA system into the parking lot of our studio and tune it block party style!  Be sure to follow our tweets while we tune as we will be posting plenty of images.  Our goal is to squeeze about 30% more spl (pure volume) from the system than is possible without the DPS technology.  The result should be a clearer sound  that hits harder!  Keep in mind the DPS technology also compensates for differences in volume between songs.  The profile created from this experiment will be available as a download for the DPS Plugin for Mac computers.
