Bongiovi Acoustics, developers of the patented Digital Power Station™ (DPS) audio enhancement technology announced that it has introduced a new DPS Plug-In for iTunes. Released initially for Mac OS X users, it dramatically enhances the sound of any Mac computer, as well as its connected speakers, headphones and other auxiliary accessories. Available now, the DPS Plug-In can be sampled for free and purchased for $29.99 at www.dpsplugin.com. It’s designed for Mac users of all levels from first time neophytes to dyed-in-the-wool techies who spend nearly every waking moment in front of their computer screens.

The company plans to release the DPS System Wide Plug-In for Windows users soon. This version will optimize audio from any source on the PC.

The DPS Plug-In improves the brightness and clarity of compressed audio files (mp3, AAC, etc.) while providing richer, deeper bass response. It analyzes the audio signal in real-time and optimizes it for play back through the user’s audio system. It also compensates for differences in volume between songs and enhances dialogue and sound effects for music, movies, television, streaming video and podcasts. If it’s coming through iTunes, it will be dramatically better.

DPS is a 100% active digital processing method that analyzes the incoming audio signal and remixes it in real time for optimized playback on a particular device. Instead of using complex audio controls, the DPS is operated via a user-friendly “profile” system. Each profile contains settings for over 120 calibration points that are custom tuned by Bongiovi Acoustics sound engineers for the intended playback device. Users can easily optimize their own system by selecting custom profiles from Bongiovi’s expanding catalog.

Whether listening to internal speakers on your own computer, your favorite headphones, or external speaker devices connected to your Mac, the DPS Plug-In will provide state-of-the-art digital audio technology. Bongiovi Acoustics Managing Director Ron Simmons said, “The launch of the DPS Plug-In is the next step in our mission to bring studio-quality sound to everyday consumer electronics. Millions of Mac owners can significantly upgrade their audio system with a simple download and now they can custom tune their audio to their own listening tastes using our innovative profile system. It’s all about empowering the customer. We have the unique ability to immediately respond to their requests via our DPS user forums and create new tuning profiles.”

According to Bongiovi Acoustics’ Phil Fuller, VP Engineering/ Technology “We have unique control over the entire frequency spectrum of the program material which means that we can create specific custom profiles that give users freedom of choice to deliver studio-quality sound to their particular playback device, whether it is a MacBook Pro 17″, iMac G5, Apple ear buds or your desktop speakers. We have different profiles for various types of headphones and home entertainment systems. We are all about maximizing the user’s listening experience, regardless of what the playback device is or what its limitations are.”

LAS VEGAS, NV — January 7, 2010 — Bongiovi Acoustics, LLC www.bongioviacoustics.com announced today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the launch of the first headphones to incorporate the Digital Power Station (DPS) technology. DPS is a software based digital audio processor that optimizes program material for playback on a particular device.

The DPS™ enabled, noise canceling headphone is the result of a joint venture between Bongiovi and Future Acoustics, Inc. The headphone is built to meet original equipment (OEM) automotive standards. The DPS technology will allow the listener to hear music and audio that is as close to studio quality as possible in a vehicle.

“The DPS headphones represent the second in a series of planned DPS automotive implementations,” says Ayaz Somani, Future’s CEO, “and provide OEMs and their customers an immediate and inexpensive way of ushering the luxury of studio quality sound into their vehicles.”

DPS is a 100% active digital processing method that analyzes the incoming audio signal and remixes it in real time for optimized playback on the headphones. The DPS algorithm contains settings for over 120 calibration points that are custom tuned by Bongiovi Acoustics sound engineers for the intended playback device. The DPS extends the frequency response of the headphones and dramatically enhances their audio playback capabilities. It adds missing harmonics, improves brightness, clarity and presence and provides deeper, more resonant bass. It miraculously extends bandwidth of compressed audio formats (MP3 and AAC) and also compensates for differences in volume between songs.

The headphones, which will be available mid-2010, are distributed through AVG Group, Bongiovi’s master distributor of DPS enabled automotive products.

“Our partnership with Future Acoustics and AVG Group has enabled us to bring our DPS technology to the major OEM players in the automotive sector” says Ron Simmons, Managing Director of Bongiovi Acoustics. “These new headphones extend our technology beyond head-unit based audio and video systems in a vehicle.”

The patented DPS technology is currently available in award-winning iHome products and JVC Mobile entertainment systems and will soon be available in a wide variety of consumer electronics products under licensing terms to major manufacturers.

The Company
Bongiovi Acoustics is an operating entity of Bongiovi Media & Technology, Inc., a privately held company. The company generates revenues through licensing of its technology, joint ventures with strategic partners and also through sales, licensing, distribution and production agreements within the entertainment industry.

About DPS: This unique technology was conceived by award-winning recording engineer and producer Tony Bongiovi and developed by the Bongiovi Acoustics team. Bongiovi fused his expertise in both acoustical engineering and record production to “break through the sound barrier” between what is recorded in the sound studio and what you ultimately hear.

iHome, a leading supplier of innovative iPod/iPhone speaker solutions, and Bongiovi Acoustics today announced an exclusive partnership to bring Bongiovi Acoustic’s patented Digital Power Station technology (DPS) to select 2009 iHome home audio and portable audio devices. The revolutionary technology uses active sound processing to maximize the response across the entire frequency spectrum, to breathe new life into all of your audio, and in turn, recreate the sound as the artist originally intended listeners to hear.

The first iPod/iPhone docking speaker systems that have incorporated the DPS technology will be on display during CES 2009 at iHome’s booth located in the North Hall, #N245.

“The astounding quality and robust sound produced by Bongiovi Acoustic’s DPS audio technology is a huge step forward in audio sound reproduction,” said Evan Stein, vice president of Marketing, iHome. “We’re very excited to be their exclusive partners and to use their technology to enhance our product line and provide our customers with the best possible listening experience available.”

“Digital audio has redefined how consumers get their music, yet format compressions can often degrade the music,” said Tony Bongiovi, President and co-founder, Bongiovi Acoustics. “When coupled with iHome’s award-winning line of iPod/iPhone speaker systems, our patented DPS technology will ensure an unrivalled listening experience.”

The patented Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station technology was developed by a team of audio engineers that have years of experience in the music, television and motion picture recording industry. It is a complex chip-based algorithm that is custom-tuned to each and every product to maximize its performance. The processor is active, which means it constantly scans the program material in real time and raises frequency levels to compensate for diminished frequency response that results from the compression of the MP3, the most widely used music format. This DPS technology works at any listening volume level.

For more information on iHome’s product line, please visit www.ihomeaudio.com.

About iHome

iHome was established in 2005 as a division of SDI Technologies to develop and market iPod electronics. The first iHome product introduced, the iPod Clock Radio, was an unqualified success that became the top-selling iPod accessory for the year, and firmly established iHome as the premier brand in the iPod electronics market. Since then, iHome has been at the forefront of design with a growing lineup of award-winning iPod-compatible audio products that includes portable and home speaker systems, as well as new lines of mobile phone and computer speakers.

Acknowledged for its innovative features, unique designs, and advanced technology, iHome has already garnered several prestigious industry awards and recently expanded its offerings via licensing agreements with Microsoft, SanDisk and Bluetooth to develop audio electronics for their respective media devices and technologies.

MWW Automotive Group (OTC BB: MWWC.OB – News), a global design, engineering, and manufacturing firm serving some of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, is introducing the revolutionary Bongiovi Acoustics car audio system, “The Digital Power Station” (DPS) at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas at Booth #11309 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 4 through November 7, 2008. The DPS will be demonstrated installed in a Toyota Corolla for the ultimate live experience.

The patented “Digital Power Station” (DPS) technology for automobiles was created by Tony Bongiovi, the critically acclaimed engineer and record producer for Bongiovi Accoustics. The DPS represents a ground breaking and cost-effective way to bring studio quality sound to mass-marketed consumer electronics. The proprietary technology overcomes the existing audio system inefficiencies typically existing in any car environment. DPS breaks down the source material and rebuilds the audio signal in real time for playback in a specific environment by utilizing a series of patented software algorithms that extend frequency response and optimize component performance. It takes into consideration all of the existing audio system’s inefficiencies, including speaker design and acoustic environment and maximizes the frequencies that the system can reproduce. This produces significant sonic improvements even with inexpensive car audio systems, resulting in an audio fidelity level typically only found in more expensive systems.

“We are extremely excited about our agreement with Bongiovi Acoustics and AVG Group, which allows us to provide this product to our exclusive customer base”, says James Marvin COO of Marketing Worldwide. The DPS system will allow our customers in the US and Europe to use less expensive drivers with limited frequency response, to provide premium sound with fewer speakers, or simply to improve existing systems, achieving results typically only found in more expensive car audio systems. We look forward to begin shipping the DPS technology built into the Bongiovi Acoustics KD-S100 radio head unit manufactured by JVC Mobile Electronics immediately.”

“Bongiovi Acoustics and AVG Group are happy to partner with MWW Automotive for the distribution of our DPS technology to their roster of customers in the US and Europe, states Ron Simmons, Managing Director of Bongiovi Acoustics. MWW’s team is uniquely qualified to represent our technology to automotive industry leaders around the globe.

Bongiovi Acoustics www.bongioviacoustics.com and Classic Design Concepts www.classicdesignconcepts.com announced today that the Bongiovi Acoustics KD-S100 car audio system manufactured by JVC Mobile Entertainment will be in an all new custom-built 67 Mustang at the SEMA auto specialty products show. George Huisman, owner of CDC, has combined his passion of the Mustang with superb design vision to create the 67 Flashback. This vehicle is new from the ground up and although the styling cues may shadow the past, the Flashback is loaded with modern amenities, attention to detail and quality, not to mention an engine over 600 horsepower. Huisman partnered with key quality-conscious aftermarket companies to create this all new “Flashback”, which will be available as a complete vehicle through CDC in 2008.

The Flashback’s audio system consists of the revolutionary Bongiovi Acoustics KD-S100 car audio system manufactured by JVC Mobile Entertainment, which contains the patented Digital Power Station audio signal processing technology. The Bongiovi Acoustics head unit is custom tuned to optimize the performance of Rockford-Fosgate components and amplifiers. “This sound system is amazing-I guarantee that no other Mustang sounds even close to this” says Huisman.
“Our unique technology enables us to custom –tune the system to substantially increase the operational envelope of the audio components in any given environment—and we are extremely effective in cars like the Flashback”. Every vehicle has unique sonic characteristics and the Flashback is no different.” said Tony Bongiovi, inventor of the Digital Power Station. “One of the key tasks in custom-tuning the Flashback was to overcome the sound generated by the 600 HP power plant.”

The Flashback/Bongiovi Acoustics Mustang can be seen and heard at the Ford Motor Booth #22300 at SEMA in Las Vegas, October 30-Nov. 2 2007.

Bongiovi Acoustics, LLC (www.bongioviacoustics.com) announces that it has solved the most critical challenge presented by MP3/MP4 music playback: Poor quality audio as a result of diminished frequency response from compressed audio data files.

Given the limited bandwidth available in consumer electronics, the industry has developed a number of compression (size) algorithms to reduce the time it takes to download & store digital audio and video files. Bits and pieces of the original master recording’s program material are removed in order to reduce the overall size of the data file. For the most part, this process preserves enough of the program material to compress the file while still providing a reasonable listening experience when played through consumer electronics. This is analogous to the process that was used in making vinyl records when the master recording’s frequency response was altered to ‘fit’ as much audio information on the vinyl records as possible.

The compressed digital audio format of MP3/MP4 files further diminishes the frequency response of the audio content by limiting the transient information that would be found in the original master recording.

The patented Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station processor is a groundbreaking achievement in audio technology. Encoded on a computer chip, the processor can be custom-tuned to maximize the performance of any playback device. The active processor constantly scans the program material in real time and raises frequency levels to compensate for diminished frequency response. “The result is extended frequency and transient response of the compressed program material and a signal as close to the 0 dbfs reference standard of the master recording as can be achieved” says the technology’s inventor, Tony Bongiovi. “The bottom line is, the listener gets to hear more of the original program material”

This first-of-its kind technology was conceived by Bongiovi, an award-winning recording engineer and producer. Bongiovi fused his expertise in both engineering and record production to break down the wall between what is recorded in the sound studio and what the listener ultimately hears when that sound is reproduced on an audio device. “In non-technical terms, the processor recognizes and addresses program material differences and compensates for those variations” says Bongiovi. “The result is that, in terms of sound quality, older recordings sound as good as new recordings and there are no significant volume differences between channels, audio sources or formats.”

The technology and its application is not limited to MP3 players. “It is particularly effective in instances where audio components and their performance are compromised or limited due to size, weight, portability, playback environment or cost factors,” says Bongiovi Acoustics cofounder Ron Simmons. “The processor is a real breakthrough not only for MP3 players, but for all consumer electronics that produce sound and its ease of implementation in any product is a key feature. These products include car audio systems, computers, cell phones, boom boxes, gaming devices, home theatre systems and flat panel displays”

The Digital Power Station processor is currently available in the Bongiovi Acoustics KD-S100 car audio system manufactured by JVC Mobile Entertainment. The system is being distributed as an aftermarket car audio product and is available nationwide at new car dealerships.

The technology will soon be available in headphones, IPOD docking stations and many other consumer electronic products under licensing terms to major manufacturers. Visit www.bongioviacoustics.com for more information about audio compression and the groundbreaking Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station technology.
