The difference between "Disc" and "Disk.:
The term "disc" was rendered by the inventors of the "compact disc," I suppose to be clever or set their device apart from others??? Whatever the case may be, it has become a staple in the English language. The term "disk" refers to a computers hard disk or any flat round surface. But to further delineate the more modern uses... Disc is used when referring to anything reproducing data "optically" (like a CD reads audio via a laser). Disk is used when referring to anything reproducing data "magnetically" like how a computers hard drive retrieves data.
So, yes... Useless info like this intrigues me, inspires me, or sometimes just annoys the hell outta me. Nevertheless, for your edification... Enjoy!
