I paid for the new Windows version after the beta version expired. I installed it now receive a message saying the beta program is over and I have to buy it, but the one I'm using is the one I paid for. Any thoughts?
Pay version mistaken as beta version?

Sorry, furthermore, in case it's of any assistance, sound will not come from my computer while the program is open.

No prob, Phil. You are receiving the message because a beta version is still installed. Transitioning out of some of the older beta versions is a little tricky. Here are some steps to follow:
1) Be sure no instances of DPS are running (right click on system tray icon and choose quit)
2) Check your Add/Remove programs window and see if you have two versions of DPS installed. If so, the version WITHOUT the version number must be un-installed via this Add/Remove Programs window. Do that now. No need to re-boot yet.
3) I also recommend un-installing the current version if you have not already done so. Use the un-installer found in the Bongiovi Acoustics Start Menu folder. Do that now. No need to re-boot yet.
4) If you REALLY want to be sure your system is clean go to Users/<your user>/App Data/Roaming/ and delete the Bongiovi Acoustics folder if it is still there. You will have to show hidden files/folders for this.
5) At this point I suggest re-booting. Re-booting is not always necessary when un-installing or installing DPS but we suggest it for stability on some systems.
6) When your systems comes back up be sure no audio/media programs are running. Skype, iTunes, Windows Media Player and the like running during installation will cause the "DPS driver not found" error.
7) Install the latest version (always available here): http://www.dpsplugin.com/download/download.php?platform=2 As long as step #6 is followed you should not have to reboot after installation. Just run DPS from the Start Menu. These steps will ensure a clean install. I'll address the sound issue in the next post...

Whenever there is no sound when DPS is running the first place to check it the output selection in the DPS preferences window. The latest version actually remembers what output you select while using Built-In, Desktop or Headphones profiles. Once you get this setup you should not have to worry about it again. Before trying the following steps be sure your speakers are working and sound plays when DPS is not running.
1) Launch DPS and open the preferences window.
2) Play some music from any player.
3) While the music is playing try selecting different options in the Output Selection drop down menu. If you only have one output try selecting it again in the menu.
4) As soon as the correct output is selected you will hear sound. Some audio drivers for certain sound cards are a little ornery during this setup process and have been known to make DPS crash. If this happens just launch DPS again from the Start Menu.
Let me know if you have any trouble with this.

I followed your directions and made sure all DPS files were uninstalled and deleted from my computer, but now, whenever I download the program, it only downloads the .dmg file and not the executable to install it. Any suggestions?
Thanks

As we are upgrading the store a few of the links have broken. Right now the Windows version is available here: http://www.dpsplugin.com/download/BongioviAcousticsDPS.zip

Thanks, Joe. I reinstalled the program. I made an error in my troubleshooting attempts insofar as I wasn't as in-depth as I should have been; however there is a slight problem in the program. I use a laptop with built-in speakers, so with "Built-in" selected on the program, it does not work, however, the program does work when I have "Desktop" selected although I don't have desktop speakers. Conclusion: the program works, just not when I have the appropriate setting tagged. Either way, glad to have it back and working because it makes the music sound a lot better. Thanks for your help.

I would repeat step 3 from my last post about getting sound to work. It sounds like your laptop's drivers just need a refresh in the Output Selection in the DPS preferences window. Once you get it to work you shouldn't have any more issues. Beaty had a few similar issues coming out of a beta version. I want to be sure everyone is back up and running after helping us out!

When I go back into the system now, there is nowhere where I see the option to download the program again (it's been uninstalled from my computer). Any thoughts?
Thanks for your time and help.
