   hello,

   obviously my dps plugin is not working now, i dont have lion, just the new(ish) 10.4 version.

   i have some logitech computer speakers with a sub, so i had a profile for that..... BUT

   im getting a couple of vintage, 1976 altec design 1 speakers repaired. 12 in woofers with a very high range of frequencies, and two small tweeters per cab, hooked up to a sansui 661 stereo receiver.

   just wondering when dps is up and running once again, is there a plugin that would be particularly effective here? i mean obviously i can download every single profile and listen for which sounds best, but maybe someone here can save me some time. what profile might be most suited to this application?

   Those sound like the Big Reds from Power Station! I'm assuming they are a little smaller though. Do they have a compression driver?

   As far as a profile goes for speakers this big, the room you are using them in has a lot to do with the sound. How would you characterize the sound of these speakers without any processing in the environment you are using them? Are they too bright? Too dull? Adjectives like this will help me suggest a profile.

   Keep in mind we make these profiles by ear so the actual specs of the speaker are a bit irrelevant. Which of the Universal (soon to be labeled "Cities") profiles is closest in your opinion?
