This may sound like a strange question, but is there some way to force DPS for the iPhone to use a speaker profile for the headphone jack? I've played around with it, but don't see a way to do it. The reason I'm asking is that I have desktop speakers with an external input which works great with the iPhone, but I need speaker profiles to make it sound right. As far as I can tell, all the profiles for the "headphone" output are specific to headphones, which makes perfect sense.

Actually, all City profiles are the same regardless of the category they appear in. So if you use Phoenix for a iPod dock it is the same Phoenix profile available in the headphones category.
And for added flexibility, any profile added via iTunes document sharing will appear in all output categories. For that reason we have all profiles available here: http://www.bongioviacoustics.com/products-ios-profiles.php
If you have Bluetooth headphones that sound great with the Skull Candy INK'd profile just add it from our online list. The profiles that come with the app start with "BA" so there is a little less confusion.Posted 6 months ago # -
Hi Joey:
Thanks for the clarification. Guess I got confused from looking at my Windows Cities profiles, which have different speaker and headphone profiles with the same names. There's 10 Cities speaker profiles and 5 Cities headphone profiles. so I was assuming there was a difference between speaker and headphone profiles, even if they have the same or similar name. I like how you add new iOS profiles through iTunes. Makes it nice and simple!
