Hello, I have 2 copies of the 1.0.2 plugin and love the quality. I've been having problems with both my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit computers sleeping for a while and finally tracked the problem to the plugin. Using:
powercfg.exe /requests
in cmd.exe or Powershell it shows that an "audio stream is currently in use" from my sound card drivers on both machines (one is a self-built desktop and the other is a Lenovo Edge). This stream is preventing my computers from entering S3 Suspend (or "Sleep" in the Power Options control panel). The computers will sleep and wake normally with no issues if told manually through the Start Menu.
I've updated both sets of drivers to the latest versions and used "powercfg.exe /requestsoverride" which failed to make an exception, but since it's happening across two different audio chipsets DPS is essentially keeping the computer awake with the always-on stream. I know this bridge between the plugin driver and the audio driver is necessary with the audio driver now the "Default Communications Device", but is there a way to mute or disable this stream when no audio is playing? Or are there other steps I can take other than removing the plugin altogether?
I like to suspend my power-hungry desktop whenever possible and no sleep is a security risk on both computers, especially the laptop. Thanks for any help.
