My girlfriend loves the sound of my KD-S100. So, I decided to buy her one for her birthday. However, Crutchfield list them as discontinued and I can't seem to find anywhere else that has them. Is there anywhere else that I can buy one from and why would they discontinue such a nice item?

AdministratorSorry to inform you but Crutchfield is out of stock, and JVC is not making anymore of them. The KD-S100 was a limited run by JVC with the Bongiovi Acoustics DPS technology. Stay tuned for other automotive products that are in the works.

Are the new aftermarket items you are developing for car stereo equipment going to start out dealer-exclusive like the JVC? Or will they be available to the public right away?

AdministratorCurrently we are working on an OEM device that will most likely be built into factory radios. I'm not sure if there will be anymore aftermarket products, but that could change.

Yo! Just went to Crutchfield and the KD-S100 was NOT in discontinued status. It was for sale at $99 (???) and said LOW STOCK? Maybe they had a return? Dunno but 'yall might want to check it out...
