Recently downloaded the Mac Beta in my MacBook Pro and "additions" is NOT showing in my menu bar.
However do have it showing on my iMac 27...

If you are referring to the Mac System-Wide Beta, there should be a new icon on the menu bar at the top near your Wi-Fi icon. It should look like a "B" with some lines around it.

Did you check the box "Open DPS at startup" in the preferences window? The System Wide plugin also appears in the Applications folder.
