The speaker model is one of the biggest factors, then the interior acoustics, then road noise etc. Once aftermarket speakers are installed all bets are off. It will be entirely up to your preference at that point! The VAR profiles are more geared toward an aftermarket situation. For example, is OK to replace the factory speakers with say, 3-way speakers, and still expect the custom profile to work as designed?</p> <p>I downloaded and installed the custom profile for a 2006 Taurus in a 1995 Sable. Both vehicles have front- door / rear-deck speaker layouts. It sounds great. However, if the custom profiles are designed only with factory speakers in mind, it might make more sense to go back to VAR 03.</p> <p>Any thoughts or advice would be welcomed on this topic. </p>
