Hi Joey...

you've solved my issues through support request #466676 - it was a mismatch on the sample rate between the DPS reflector and the line out channels...and not related to the Jack Router...

Thanks

konkrypton,

I get this too every once in a while. I usually just turn DPS off then on again and sync is resolved. Let me know if this helps.

enkaytee,

After you uninstalled Jack Router, is the Jack Router output still available as an output device? If so that means the kernel extension may not have uninstalled properly and is causing conflicts with the DPS Reflector kernel extension. it sounds like DPS is trying to send samples to Jack Router but can't, hence the buffer fills and leaks all over the place. Let me know what you find!

The only problem I've noted is some sync issues when viewing flash videos. I'm on a 2ghz Mac Mini w/ Core 2 Duo and 8 gb of RAM. If it matters, I also have an SSD drive.

OK - I've realised the the 'Jack' plugin isn't necessary on my Mac, so i've removed it completely. However, i'm still getting the same problems and repeating error messages in the console....

update on the problem outlined above...

In the OS X console I'm seeing continuous 'Digital Power Station: ring buffer error on readInterleavedFrames' messages...several every second...!

Think this may be the problem...!

Using beta 1.009 on OS X 10.7.3...

Been fine until a couple of days ago when any profile on any app, through speakers or headphones sounds truly awful...distorting and breaking up with DPS on. At the same time, memory usage of DPS starts to increase hugely...at the rate of 1Mb every second...i left it for a while and it reached over 4Gb of RAM. This happens even if i turn the sound source off, but stops if i turn off DPS.

I've removed and reinstalled a few times and the symptoms are still the same. Later this evening i'll reinstall an earlier beta and report back...

Thanks

Joey,

Version 01.a MacSW beta, still experiencing bluetooth connectivity issues with the Bose wireless speaker, as reported in previous build, everything else working and sounding fine!

Well pleased with beta builds so far, using the MacSW beta with built-in speakers you notice a tremendous difference and benefit from using the plugin.

Joey,

Thanks for the reply and clarification, makes sense not have both active...... since we are beta testing, and I leave the MAC SW on all the time anyway, I will turn off iTunes DPS Plugin going forward.

Nuke,

The iTunes plugin and Mac SW are activated as two separate products in our store. So, no, there are no issues with using both at the same time. You will hear the effect of DPS on top of DPS when you do this which can actually be good in some cases!

However, we are recommending using only one DPS product at a time so you have headroom (less distortion) to work with in the computers audio system.

Greetings,

Build 0.1a, I have no issues to report to date.

Quick question though, what happens with the DPS plugin for iTunes activated along with the Mac SW beta activated, anything?

I don't notice anything peculiar by doing so, I accidentally turned on my iTunes with the DPS plugin on, while the MacSW Beta was on?
