Since VAR 3 has a lot of low end you can use the Bass controls in the KD-S100 to tune the system to your subwoofer. Keep in mind the subwoofer output is NOT processed by the DPS in the radio. I am currently using the VAR 03 profile, and will likely stick with it for awhile. It gives me the best overall tonal balance, and pretty good staging. Then turn it back on by pressing it again.
