I don't think it's gonna work, it doesn't create an audio source on my Mac. It's a great candidate (and needs) a chip! I'm pretty sure it's got enough computing power to choose between several profiles. Damn thing needs Bluetooth too.

From reading the quick overview of Softsqueeze it looks like the server uses a SSH tunnel to stream audio using a Java mp3 codec. It dosen't look like it creates a new output device in the Sound Setting panel for Windows or Mac but I could be wrong. If it does create a new output device then WIndows and Mac SW DPS will work. Just select the output from within the DPS application. You have 48 hours of demo time on the Windows version so why not try it?

Otherwise Squeezebox works like Airplay and its main function is to get data to a player for decoding and playback. This means DPS would have to be integrated into the Squeezebox unit itself.

Let me know how this works out!

Hi there and thanks for this great product. I use Squeezebox devices for playback in my home and I was wondering if you've given any thought to porting your plug-in for Logitech Squeezebox products? Also, will the computer system-wide plug ins will work with the Soft Squeeze playback device in Windows and/or MacOS? Thanks!
