Hey soccerkingpilot - I've got my Pro Media hooked to an iPod dock to get line out audio, and this profile really sounds fantastic. The vocals and highs are there, and the bass is thinned out just enough so that it's not overblown as soon as you touch the knob. I think you're going to be pleased.

Here is a profile to test on your iOS device with the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 setup: http://avalonrecords.com/Pub/Klipsch%20Pro%20Media%20TEST1.bgv

Keep in mind that bass is meant to be controlled by adjusting the volume of the subwoofer against the volume of the desktop speakers. Let me know how this one sounds for you!

Any chance for Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speaker plugin? I can't really find a good plugin that has the right mix of bass and treble in there. They all have too much or too little of each.

Thanks...keep up the great work!

I will be in Asia Nov 28 - Dec 10 so I won't be adding new Mac SW activations during that time. While I'm away, please email support@bmtdps.com to request a Mac SW activation after you have finished the beta survey. Thanks!

Here are the details:

1) Fill out the beta entry survey to receive the download link: https://app.icontact.com/icp/sub/survey/start?sid=1062&cid=842582
2) We will check the emails each day from the beta survey list. Everyone who currently has a DPS Plug-In activation will receive an activation for Mac SW. Activating Mac SW allows the use of the Profile Browser.
3) Each beta build will have an expiration date.
4) Please email all beta feedback to support@bmtdps.com
5) I will be constructing the Help/FAQ pages here: http://www.dpsplugin.com/help/doku.php?id=mac_help
This is where I will post known issues, future features etc. as we progress through beta.
6) We are organizing all bugs, suggestions and usability feedback in our own issue tracker. Please be as specific and detailed as possible when giving feedback! We need to be able to make every item very clear and precise to our developer.
7) Feedback like "The profiles don't work" doesn't help us. Please give us as much information as possible such as any errors that popped up, the steps we need to take to replicate the issue etc.
8) Feedback like "The menus are ugly, change them" also doesn't help us. Tell us what you think could make it better. If you can supply an example from some other source please show us.

I'll keep this updated as we move forward.

Sorry for not being clearer on this. I'm still working on all of the documentation.

In order to keep things organized, we are going to be adding activations manually for each beta tester. That is why you have to give your email at the end of the survey. We will go through the survey database and add activations regularly.

At the moment the rule is if you already have a DPS activation you will get a beta activation without questions. If you are new to DPS and want in on the beta, you must email me and explain why I should give you a free plugin! The funnier your request, the more likely you will get a free activation. My email is xaqmusic@bmtdps.com. :-P

conturbia,

Thanks for the dxdiag output. It looks like the problem lies with what language Windows is set to. The last two machines that had the "DPS Driver Not Found" error were set to Italian and Japanese.

Please try setting your display language to English. Here are the directions I found online:

How to change the Windows 7 Display Language:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region / Change the display language
2. Switch the display language in the Choose a display language dropdown menu.
3. Click OK
4. Log off for the changes to take effect (This will affect only the user profile under which you are currently logged on).

After setting the language to English, reboot then try installing DPS.

This issue has been eluding us. If this works we should be able to make a new version that addresses multiple languages. Thanks!

I've had this problem as well. Check your playback devices in Windows. You should have a speaker icon in your system tray. Right click on it and open Playback devices. Look at your speaker devices and see if Digital Power Station is enabled. If it's disabled, you won't see it unless you have selected the Show Disabled Devices option, which can be selected by a right click in the Playback window. Digital Power Station should be enabled and set as the Default Device. When it's the default device, you'll see a green check mark. You can enable/disable and make it the default device by right clicking on its icon. You'll also need to set a Default Communication Device, which will be your sound card. When it's set as the default communication device, it will show a green telephone icon. This tells Windows to send output from the Digital Power Station to your sound card.

This procedure is for Windows 7. If you're running something older, like XP, the procedure will be different and you'll have to experiment with its sound settings.

Hmmmmm. There have been a few cases where this has not been resolved on certain systems. It's one of the few remaining issues we have. Could you please email us your dxdiag report? Here is how you do it:

1) Click the Start Menu
2) In the Search for Programs (Win 7) or Run (XP) box type: dxdiag
3) Hit enter to run dxdiag.exe
4) Click "Save All Information" at the bottom of the dxdiag window that opened.
5) A Dxdiag.txt file will appear on your desktop. Please email it to support@bmtdps.com. Don't worry, this file only contains information related to your system setup. It will not be shared with anyone.

Thanks for your help!

This is usually caused by some other application using the Windows audio system while you are trying to install the DPS Plug-In. I suggest:

1) Un-Install the DPS Plug-In using the uninstaller in the Start Menu under Bongiovi Acoustics/Digital Power Station
2) Reboot
3) Check your system tray to see what is running after startup (click the triangle icon at the bottom right of Windows near the volume control).
4) Exit Skype, iTunes, anti-virus software or anything else that may be touching the audio drivers.
5) Reinstall version 1.1.0. This is a final release.

Let me know how it goes!

The DPS System Wide version will work with Pandora, Youtube and any other app that uses sound on your Mac. We are currently working to get a working beta for everyone to test.

Will the DPS version that works in 64 bit with iTunes 10.5 on Mac also work for streaming audio like Pandora, Mog, and Spotify?
If not are there plans to provide that functionality on MAC?
Thanks,
