However, you are welcome to try a profile for a similar vehicle. If the speakers are the same make and model then the results can be quite good. You will only know if you try. I had an '06 Civic which I had a profile for. I turned it in for an '09 and the old profile just doesn't work for it. I have the Generic loaded now, and it's by far the best sounding. Clearly, Honda changed the speaker model they were using. As Joey has said numerous times... play with loading a bunch of different profiles and use your ears to determine what works best. In some cases the differences between, say 2008 to 2009 is huge (Honda Civic, just ask RCopt) and for others it makes very little difference. If Toyota didn't change the actual speaker driver model from 1997 to 2006 (doubtful) then the custom Camry profile will sound pretty close. Can't wait to try the custom for my truck, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 mega cab. I installed the radio behind the Infinity amp that breaks out the sound to the front three (in dash) speakers, the two woofers in the front doors, and the full-range speakers int he rear doors. I tried all 6 profiles available and I think I settled on VAR02, but I really can't remember. I sat there for a half an hour trying one after the other listening to the same song trying to find the best balance. The first one was extremely bright, I remember that. Still shopping for a nice subwoofer, then I'll probably have to try all the profiles again. How do we find the member list so we can keep up with the count? It looks like it takes a few days before Crutchfield posts it. If others join in with a similar message I am sure that we can hit 100 forum members. Review start: Just installed the radio last night and it sounds pretty darn good. Night and day verses the stock radio in my 2008 Corolla. There are Beta profiles available at the Bongiovi website that let you customize the sound profile for your car. I found the "small car" variation to sound better than what was on the Crutchfield CD. This is definitely a "bang-for-your-buck" product. It looks like Bongiovi Acoustics will release custom profiles specific to your vehicle (just like was released when people bought the radio as a dealer option!!) if they are able to get 100 people to register for their forum. If you own this radio you should navigate to Bongiovi site and sign up so everyone can enjoy the radio the way that Bongiovi originally intended you to! Let's get up to 100. How many more to go? I would love to have the profile for my 2008 Corolla (I know, my car is very lame so I need to breath some life into it with the factory profile ASAP). To be fair I am install my KD-S100 tonight so I may be happy with the universal disk but it would be great to have the vehicle specific profile.
